Happy New Year to all music lovers and listeners of my audioblog..thanks a lot for sparing the time to listen to my songs and for the valuable comments..please keep those wonderful requests coming and i will try my best to fulfill them and continue to perform entertaining songs for u..
So lets start the New year with a fun and peppy song..this is a very popular song called 'June Ponal' from a tamil film titled 'Unnale Unnale'...composed by one of the leading music directors in tamil, Harris Jeyaraj. Harris started his career as a keyboardist and percussionist for various music directors based in South India, predominantly A R Rahman, Karthik Raja,and Vidhyasagar. After the mega success of his first music score for the film 'Minnale', that included the ever popular song 'Vaseegara', he delivered a slew of musical hits in 12B, Kaaka Kaaka, Saami, Anniyan, Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu, Ghajini, to the latest, 'Bheema'. Harris' songs are famous for its urban, breezy, youthful tunes and for its right mix of melody, racy rhythms, and splendid orchestration, at times it reminds us of AR Rahman songs. This particular song was alleged to be an inspiration from an English song called 'All Rise' by the pop band 'Blue'. One cant deny that there is a similarity in the opening beats and groove, however overall Harris managed to produce an impressive song. Although some of the recent songs of Harris sound very similar to his previous songs in beats/chorus/melody, they are nevertheless entertaining and Harris continues to churn out hits.
I have been planning to sing this song for a long time since it was requested by couple of friends, finally managed to get hold of the music track (thanks a lot Aji Chettan!)..I did have some fun and challenge singing this song, as the music track did not come with much of the signature background vocals and interludes (that is part of almost every Harris songs)..so i did my bit to experiment and throw in some background vocals, chorus, harmonies and effects myself, hope i did some justice to it...wish i was in a Harris or Rahman studio for that :)..
Tip: Please listen to the song using a decent set of headphones/earphones (and the broadband version, of course) for better quality and to enjoy the song completely (including my chinna background vocals and effects ;) )

First time here...good voice, brave attempt, well delivered.
Specially I liked the extra effort you have taken to create all the voice effects. I know how tough that is cos I have done that for a few of my songs too...
Enjoyed the lines in spanish lines VERY VERY well delivered with right effects.
Dunno what your mother tongue is but just watch out for some words that are not pronounced right...
Overall - AWESOME! I enjoyed listening!

dis is one f my favorite songs...u got a great voice..really amazing man...of course u've missed the "flat"... 'm nt a singer, but a good listener i think...when i heard the song i felt 2 things....1. ur voice jus matches the voice of the original singer,i don knw his name.. 2.der ws some prob with the speed of the song when compared to the original one, may be coz its dificult for us to pronounce some words in tamil as fast as they can... anyways really nice work...
ummm.... innale from balettan... do you think you can do justice to it? Another all-time favorite is Varuvanillarumee from Manichitra Thazhu... haven't heard it in a male voice yet though :-)
